TIPAKORN The Samurai seize his sword with heart for the nation, Enemies
attack from all directions, Out for battle to protect his second land,
The Sun leads the crew on demand. From the history of Thailand since
the time of Ayutthaya, the Japanese and Siamese have a very close
relation in both trading and diplomatic aspects, which then a Japanese
village was built for the expats. The Japanese often supported Siam
during war by sending their volunteer soldiers. There was a samurai
named “Yamada Nagamasa”, which is the most well-known japanese in Thai
history. He was promoted to one of the highest of Siam’s military rank,
and at the same time, was also the leader of the Japanese. This history
of the relationship between Thailand and Japan has inspired us to
formulate a mixture of Thai and Japanese in our product. “Tipakorn”
means “Sun” to represent Japan. The word “Japan” spelled in Japanese
Kanji letters means “The origin of the sun”. We choose the fresh scent
of yuzu orange, which can grow well in the warm, humid climate and
seashores, to represent Japan and be the heart of this perfume. The
other chosen aroma in this perfume is “Matcha”, which reflects calmness
and pride, together with bravery. Matcha or japanese green tea is
well-known for the diligence of the japanese during its process. The
scents representing Thailand mixed in this formula are from Nium-Horm
(Strobilanthes nivea Bremek), which is a rare aromatic plant, and also
smoked wood aroma. The combination of these ingredients represents the
“Samurai of Siam”, the soldier who fought side-by-side with the Siamese
in history. Notes Top: Borneol, Nium-Horm (Thai Plant), YUZU, Bergamot
Middle: Matcha, Tobacco, Smoke Base: Black Agarwood, Patchouli, Vetiver
